The SMARTSEA (Surveying & MARiTime Internet of Things EducAtion) project aims at developing a Master course focused on educating participants with the necessary skills & knowledge to work in the “Smart Maritime & Surveying” sector (infrastructure, vessels or the environment). During their course, the students will develop monitoring tool prototypes (IoT vessel monitoring system, ROUV etc.).

The proposal for this project was submitted in February 2019, to the Erasmus+ Key Action 2 (Knowledge Alliances) call, from a consortium of companies, research centres and universities across Europe (Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, France, Greece, Slovenia, Spain, Romania, Poland, Portugal). This project was selected among 195 projects that were submitted in the same call. The work of this consortium will start in November 2019 and will last for a period of 3 years.
